Steel Days Parade

American Fork High School Marching Band
(as many of them as I could fit in the photo)

Grace and Willow with their cousin Atticus.

Last Saturday was the Steel Days Parade in American Fork. Steel Days is the name for the city's annual summer festivities....named after Geneva Steel, which at one time employed a good portion of American Fork's residents. We always try and sit at the very beginning of the parade route to ensure we get a good portion of candy. It works every year. Despite the 100 degree weather the kids had a great time.

My favorite entry, without question, is the American Fork High School Marching Band. It took me a long time to convince Kenyon of the quality of our marching band here in "AF" and that it's very cool to be a part of the marching band at our high school. After watching them in the last 8 Steel Days Parades he now understands why they are my favorite.
